The Five Acolytes OCT is officially OPEN! Contestants willing to enter have until January 2, 2010 to submit reference sheets and auditions. During this time, me and *tyki-chaos-engine will be working on the ref sheets for the Acolytes and their enemies the Demon Lords. Also sometime soon, I will be posting a description of what the Spirit Realm looks like for you all to use in the auditions.

PLOT

"If there is evil in this world... It lurks in the hearts of man."

The Spirit Realm is a peculiar place. It resides parallel to all worlds and acts as a place where souls who are deemed worthy for another chance at life can start over. For many millennia, the Realm lived in peace, free from conflict...

Until the Demon Lords came, bringing their manipulative powers along with unwanted chaos.

Now the Spirit Realm is in ruin. With the Demon Lords as rulers, everything that the denizens once knew about the Realm is no more. The Realm will surely crumble if something is not done.

Cyn: That's where we come in.
Sage: One of the five Demon Lords, the Demon Lord of Nullification, disagreed with his brothers and sisters ideals and knew everything would be destroyed unless something was done.
Kyo: So, breaking away from his fellow Lords, he created five powerful beings with the power to use one of the five elements of the Spirit Realm.
Alessa: Those beings are known as the Five Acolytes. They are the physical manifestations of Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and Spirit.
Archeon: With those powers, we're gonna destroy these demon lords and set things straight.

Ari: But it cannot be done alone. That is where YOU come in.

Ari: You have been taken from your world to help me and the Acolytes to overthrow the Demon Lords. You are among the most capable of your world for this task. If you help us, you will be rewarded handsomely.

But you must be careful. When in the Spirit Realm, you do not know who is friend and who is foe. You must always be on guard during your stay.

Cyn: So what do you say? Willing to fight for the cause?

RULES

Characters:
~Your character(s) must be ORIGINAL. No characters from books/shows/anime/video games etc. are allowed.
~No GOD-MODING. We cannot emphasize this enough. Your characters must have weaknesses.
~Up to 3 characters may be submitted. But remember the more characters you use, the more references you must create.
~If you create multiple characters, one character must fight per round. You can't have all your characters gang up on your opponent.

Reference sheets, Auditions, Entries:
~Comic, written entries, and flashes are allowed.
~A reference sheet must be supplied for everyone to see. On the sheet it should include:
Name:
Age:
Height:
Weight:
Race:
Appearance:
Place of Origin:
Ablities:
Weaknesses:
Brief history:
~When finished with the reference sheet/auditions/rounds, note everything to this account.
~When it comes to battle entries, please limit the gore. No brutal deaths and the like. The Acolytes may be in conflict with the Demon Lords, but their battles won't be heavily drenched in blood. The rating for violence should be... PG-13.

Rounds and Judging:
~All matches will be chosen at random. You can't ask to go against a specific person.
~All contestants will be given 3-5 weeks to complete their entries. Unless something happens (ex: exams or something similiar), entrants are expected to turn in their entries at the specified due date.
~Judging will take place within a timeframe of 5-7 days.
~Once a decision is reached, there will be no appealing of the result.

Misc.:
~Spectator Entries are encouraged. If you wish to do them, go ahead.
~Please be respectful to everyone (fellow contestants, judges, etc.). If you do not follow this rule, you will be expelled from the tournament.
